Line matrix and continuous forms printers are most likely to be crucial to your operation. If your printer breaks you need an engineer who knows what they are doing and with the ability to source the parts and get them to site quickly.
Precision Peripherals Ltd first started repairing the predecessors to modern continuous form printers – band and drum printers – in the early 1980s. As technologies evolved so too did the skills of our engineers so we are equipped with the necessary skills needed to repair and service these unique machines.
Our network of engineers are situated throughout the UK and are able to repair continuous form printers manufactured by the likes of Printronix, Microplex, Ricoh, Sharp and Konica.

These are the some of the most common problems associated with Continuous Form and Line Matrix Printers
The printer refusing to print when the lights are on and the network is on is one of the most frustrating faults. It is going to need an onsite visit from one of our engineers to pinpoint the fault.
Poor Print Quality
Poor print quality faults can be typically be fixed by a service visit. Although many companies say that they can service continuous form printers, repairs must be done by experienced engineers.
Your fault is probably caused by a setting issue which we can identify or a network card failure which we are able to supply if necessary.
A rattling noise is a common occurrence but it could be one of three things. If you have this problem then give us a call we will narrow it down.
If there is no power getting to the printer then it is almost certainly going to be an issue with the power supply. Don’t worry – it is a common fault – and we have spares available and our engineers know how to replace them safely.
Line matrix machines need regular servicing and maintenance visits are vital. Regular service and maintenance visits will keep your printer running and will prevent most of the common faults from occurring.
Why Organisations Choose to Use PPL Engineers?
Our engineers have on average over 20 years experience of fixing continuous form and line matrix printers. Our customers know that they are getting printers engineers who know what to look for, how to fix it and above all are helpful. They will take the time to explain to you what went wrong and how it was repaired or what needs to happen next. Before leaving they will service the machine and clean it and point out anything that is likely to cause it to fail in the near future.
If a part is needed then they will report it to our helpdesk and you will be contacted with a cost for the part. If the price is high then we may recommend swapping your machine out with a new or refurbished one.
All of our engineers have had manufacturing training and we get pricing support from them so that if you do need a part then you know that not only are you going to be getting the right parts but also that you will also be getting them at the very best price.
Line matrix printing is the cheapest way of applying print to paper. Put into the right environment and used properly this technology is able to save organisations hundreds of thousands of pounds.
However, because it is not properly understood – and not many salespeople know about it – then it isn’t suggested or quoted in situations where it is the most suitable solution.
We at Precision Peripherals Ltd work with and understand all printing technologies and so will be able to suggest to you the right print solution for your application.
